project info
Making Waves is a short form documentary series exploring the artistic endeavours of creatives who are based at Trinity Buoy Wharf, in East London.
The first film spends six months following sculptor J.D. Fox as he creates “Denizen” – a singular monolithic form in clay.
It provides a unique insight into his artistic process as he opens up about his need to constantly be creating, the challenges of self-promotion and the value of determination versus the perception of talent.
The film was selected and won awards from the following film festivals:
- Berlin Indie Film Festival
- WSXA Amsterdam International Awards
- Silicon Beach Film Festival
- Short Film Factory
- GenreBlast Film Festival
It was also screened at the Chinese Theatre in LA.
